Police have arrested a teenager after he allegedly fled a stolen vehicle in Werribee last night, following a pursuit by the Air Wing.
The Toyota reportedly failed to stop when officers tried to intercept it on Tarneit Road, Hoppers Crossing.
Officers were initially alerted to the exhaustion sounds near Kookaburra Avenue when they spotted a silver Toyota Hilux driving the area at high speed just before 11:30 pm.
The Air Wing then followed the vehicle to Budgie Court where the driver allegedly dumped the vehicle and ran into parkland.
A 17-year-old Melton South boy was arrested nearby and is expected to be charged with theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods and various traffic offences.
