A man has been shot by police after allegedly threatening them with a hammer this morning in the Melbourne suburb of Meadow Heights. Police were executing a search warrant at a home on Mitchell Crescent when the occupant allegedly threatened them with a hammer.He suffered a non-life-threatening injury when police shot him in the lower body
He was taken to hospital. The search warrant was connected to the armed robbery of a service station in Coolaroo on Wednesday.
