Tim Pallas Thrilled by Latest Government Spending, Locals not so impressed

Touted as a great result for the Werribee community, Tim Pallas said he was “thrilled to announce $6.3 million to Wyndham City from the Andrews Labor Government’s current Growing Suburbs Fund round.”

The latest government spending in the area will include a new $1.3 million community center on Black Forest Road South, Werribee, which will offer early childhood facilities, multipurpose community spaces, as well as maternal and child health services.

Manor Lakes North will also have a $1 million Family Center that will include counseling rooms, a community kitchen, and community meeting space.

Over the past seven years, the Growing Suburbs Fund has invested more than $38.3 million to develop 25 projects in Wyndham.

But not all locals are happy with such a waste. Many have taken to Tim Pallas’ Facebook page to express their concerns about what they see as misappropriation.

Local Werribee member Tim Pallas is often criticised for not taking care of Wyndham due to not living in the area.

Opposition leader Matthew Guy, who recently spoke to Wyndham TV while in the area, also shot at Pallas and the Labor government.
