$450,000 To Transform Rosslare Court Reserve In Hoppers Crossing

Rosslare Court Reserve is set to receive a new sports court, outdoor fitness equipment and a large open lawn as part of a $450,000 upgrade beginning in April, with stage two expected to be completed by mid-2026. Planning is also underway for a future wetland designed to filter stormwater before it enters Skeleton Creek

After years of planning and procurement behind the scenes, construction is set to begin on the next stage of upgrades at Rosslare Court Reserve, as Wyndham City Council moves forward with a $450,000 investment aimed at expanding recreational space for the rapidly growing suburb.

Council documents and contract records confirm that works are scheduled to commence in April, marking the start of a redevelopment that will reshape a section of the reserve with new facilities designed for informal sport and outdoor exercise.

The upgrade will introduce a half multi-sport court, outdoor fitness equipment and a large open grass lawn, along with additional landscaping throughout the site.

According to project plans the improvements are intended to create a more flexible public space where residents can exercise, gather socially or take part in casual recreation.

Works represent second phase of ongoing improvements

In 2024, the site underwent a significant transformation with the addition of a district-level playground, picnic areas, public toilet facilities and new on-street parking—changes that substantially increased visitation from local families.

Council planning files also show that longer-term environmental works are being explored for the site.

A proposed wetland, still in the planning phase, is expected to filter stormwater before it flows into Skeleton Creek, while also enhancing biodiversity and the ecological value of the park.

The redevelopment of Rosslare Court Reserve forms part of a broader push by Wyndham City to modernise ageing park infrastructure across the municipality.

With suburbs such as Hoppers Crossing experiencing sustained population growth, council planners say open space upgrades are increasingly necessary to meet community demand.

If construction proceeds as scheduled, stage two of the Rosslare Court Reserve project is expected to be completed by mid-2026.
