A social media campaign is aiming to shine a spotlight on small businesses across Melbourne’s west, including in Werribee and Wyndham Vale.
Local finance professional Chetan Walia launched the “Winners of Wyndham” initiative on LinkedIn, designed to promote entrepreneurs and business owners operating across the rapidly growing Wyndham region.
“Wyndham has some incredible small businesses. The kind that quietly show up every day, take risks, create jobs, and build community without much spotlight,” said Walia
The campaign will highlight businesses from suburbs including Point Cook, Truganina, Werribee and Wyndham Vale, sharing the stories behind how local entrepreneurs started their ventures and built their companies.
Through posts and features on LinkedIn, the initiative aims to showcase the people behind the businesses, while also highlighting the challenges many small business owners face while growing companies in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
The challenges can include access to funding, staffing pressures and keeping up with the region’s rapid population growth.
Supporters say the campaign could help bring more attention to the role small businesses play in driving economic activity across Wyndham, one of Victoria’s fastest-growing municipalities.
By sharing success stories and experiences from local operators, the project hopes to inspire other entrepreneurs and strengthen the local business community.
The campaign is expected to continue rolling out more business profiles in the coming weeks, with a focus on recognising the innovation and resilience of businesses operating across the Wyndham area
