Local club Werribee Districts Football Club is preparing for the upcoming Western Football Netball League season with confidence following several strong years of on-field success.
The Werribee-based side has become one of the competition’s most consistent teams, reaching four consecutive grand finals and securing two premierships during that run.
Rather than relying heavily on recruiting, the club plans to continue focusing on developing its own players and strengthening its internal talent pathway.
Senior coach Chris Gilham says strong competition for spots between younger players and experienced leaders has been key to maintaining the club’s high standards.
With the new season approaching, Werribee Districts hopes its mix of emerging talent and established players will again put the team in a strong position to challenge for another premiership.
