Werribee, Victoria – The opening night of the 2023 Lit Light Show in Wyndham Park Werribee kicked off friday 17th march continuing through to the 26th proved to be a spectacular event, drawing crowds from across the region to witness the stunning display of light and color switched on and LIT at 8pm

The Lit Light Show held at Wyndham Park, kicked off on Friday evening 17th of march with an impressive light display illuminating the grounds, including the historic mansion and surrounding gardens. Visitors were treated to an array of vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and stunning visual effects, set to an upbeat musical soundtrack.

The event made a comback in Melbourne’s west following a triumphant season last year. Visitors could take a leisurely stroll through enchanting scenery and behold a spectacular laser display, a canopy of rainbow-colored skies, interactive projections, and other captivating sights.

Presented by Wyndham City, this free, immersive experience saw Wyndham Park switched on and LIT at 8pm and resuming at 11pm

The show begins as visitors make their way through a winding path, surrounded by towering trees and glowing lanterns. As they approach the main event area, the space opens up to reveal a stunning display of light and color.

Speaking about the opening night, local Emma Linkin said, “The Lit Light Show is an opportunity for people to come together and enjoy something truly special, and I was excited to be able to share this experience with the community. The event was carefully planned to ensure the safety and wellbeing of visitors,” she said

Additionally local resident Mr Brennon said, “As a Werribee resident, I was absolutely blown away by the lit lightshow at Werribee Park. The intricate patterns of light and synchronized music were truly mesmerizing, and I was completely immersed in the experience,”

“The use of projection mapping and special effects added to the overall spectacle, and I was left with a sense of awe and wonder. It was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.” he said.

LIT Returned Bigger And better In 2023

  • A breathtaking laser show, beamed every half hour on the main lawn from 8.30pm, with a high energy soundtrack to keep visitors enthralled. In between shows the lasers will project an otherworldly rainbow sky canopy
  • Cortex – a tangle of towering glowing arches inspired by the mysterious beauty of mangrove forests. Created by award-winning Australian arts group The Indirect Object.
  • Morphology offers a chance to play amongst the glowing strings, with neon light wires you can twist and shape into your own designs by The Indirect Object.
  • The Great Escape – featuring a trail of glowing night creatures as they emerge from their world, deep within a magical wardrobe, created by Melbourne based visual team, Skunk Control.
  • Human Effect – a shifting, growing canvas featuring projections of native plants that respond to touch. Created by artist Yandell Walton.
  • Admix – it takes creatures of all colours to make a rainbow. a trail of playful The work will feature multiple playful gobo projections created by Wyndham artist Rukz One.
  • Plus lots more! Including a pulsing lawn of lights, light-drenched trees, 40 giant mirror balls, strung into trees, twirling and sparkling overhead
