Collaboration between job training and skills facilities in Victoria, including Wyndham, will be assisted by the state government in order to help people get jobs and create more jobs.
The government has released a new Skills Plan, identifying the key industries that will require more workers in the coming years and outlining the state’s difficulties in connecting training and skills with jobs.
TAFEs, universities, and training and education providers are encouraged to customise their courses to match local industry and community demands.
Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney says that the Skills Plan would help more Victorians get employed or advance their careers.
“Collaborating across sectors, unions, training providers, and government, we can all work together with one goal in mind: a high-quality, accessible training system that meets students and employers’ needs.” says Tierney
The Victorian Skills Authority will drive the delivery of the plan, bringing together key stakeholders such as employers, unions, training providers, and trainees.
