April Wyndham Mayors Message 2022

Latest Posts

As we approach both State and Federal elections this year, Council is making sure that the needs of Wyndham residents are heard loud and clear. As you may know, Council has several campaigns calling on the State Government to fund important community infrastructure.

The Schools4Wyndham campaign has been active in promoting the need for more schools. Over the coming months you will find the Schools4Wyndham crew at different shopping centres throughout Wyndham to help spread awareness of exactly what Wyndham needs and by when.

We’re calling on the State Government to construct an additional two new secondary schools and two new primary schools by 2024, and acquire the land needed to deliver a further six schools by 2026.

With people returning to work in the office, we are also maintaining pressure for more train stations to be constructed particularly the Sayers Road train station in Tarneit. You may have seen me on the ABC recently, joining with residents in their calls for greater access to public transport.

Wyndham is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia, which is no secret to the people that call it home. The communities are here and we need the infrastructure to catch up.
